Greetings from Far Northern Calif.

I'm Sue and relocated from SF bay area over 10 yrs. ago and since I'm retired have finally become interested in my family geneology.  My parents were born in the mid-west and their families had emmigrated from Norway and Germany in the early 1900's.  My maternal side is Norwegian, paternal is German, but since I never knew my grandparents, it has been really interesting to learn about their past.  I finally found out their REAL names which helped in searches, and since I grew up with parents raised during the Great Depression, I'm more interested in learning how things have changed since I was born.  I hope to read some "honest" reports on this forum about Norway, not just the tourist attraction type of stuff.  Hilsen
