Family members in United States; Bremerton, Washington

I have relatives on 3 of my 4 grandparents side that I know of. I would like to find out more about some of them, and hopefully someone here can be of assistance.

Karl Vatne, of Bremerton, Washington is my grandfathers cousin. He has one daughter (that I know of), Becky Vatne, married surname Thomas. Possibly moved to SoCal, San Diego is a possibility.
As she probably doesn`t use her middle name, I am having trouble finding more info about her.

I believe Karl Vatne is still alive, as I have not found any obituary for him, but I have found his late wifes.

Hei Tommy!  You might want to look at this sight <www..digitalarchives.wa.gov/default.aspx> It is the digital archives for the state of Washington.  Just a quick look and I saw the wedding record of Becky Ann Vatne to John Edward Thomas on 12 August 1967 and I believe Karl William Varne's wedding record as well as the death record of his wife.  They also have a sight called ask a librarian for washington state that will look up newspaper articles and obituaries and send them via email.  Good luck.

Hi Ole. Thanks for the input. I have checked out the site a few times, and I found the info you mentioned and also something about sale/purchase of land dated back to the early 90`s. But nothing concerning Becky Vatne Thomas wherabouts..

I do believe, based on Karl`s age that he is in a nursing home or similar, being +/- 90 years old.

A small update: Just a week after I posted, Karl Vatne died aged 92 on Nov. 29th.

He is survived by daughter Becky and son-in-law John Thomas and their daughters Carrie and Jamie, but I have not had any success in finding out more concerning their whereabouts. I may have a clue on one of his granddaughters, and I will see if I follow it up.

I have to admit it was a serious blow to find his obituary, and telling my grandpa (his cousin).

Both Karl Vatne and his 2nd wife Verniece's funerals were from this church.
Maybe you could write to them and ask for help in finding your relatives.

The funeral home named in Karl Vatne's obituary online would also have contact information for his daughter Becky, since she probably made the funeral arrangments and paid the bills.

You could send a letter asking if they could forward it to Becky.
