Summer

How are you all doing?? Any plans for the summer? I am soon off for 14 days to Gran Canaria, The Canary Islands. Really looking foreward to it. Lots of swimming in the sea, the local pool and just having a good time with my family under the sun.

My birthday was the 17th of July and I celebrated that at a Sju Lag Stevne in Winona, MN at a banquet for the 100 year celebration for Totenlaget.  Next weekend we go to a wedding of a cousin of mine and that should be fun.  Nothing much else going on until the last weekend of September when my best freind and I go hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail along the North Shore of Lake Superior.

I spent 4 weeks in Sweden with my daughter and her family, and now back in Minnesota I've been lucky to spend these HOT HOT days at the lake cabin.  Lots of swimming, kayaking, and a little fishing.

Hei alle sammen,
Had my family over from Norway for 2-3 weeks.  They were 19 all together, sister and brother with spouses, 3 of my children, 6 grand children and a great  granddaughter(saw her for the first time).  It was a lot of fun and I already miss them.  BUT I need a vacation after that vacation.
Plans are Fish Boil in Int'l Falls if possible, and Scandinavian Fest in Budd Lake, NJ.  Both in September.
